Automorphic forms on sl2(R) par Borel,, Armand. Publication : [S.l.] Cambridge University Press 2008 . 208 p. ; , This book provides an introduction to some aspects of the analytic theory of automorphic forms on G=SL2(R) or the upper-half plane X, with respect to a discrete subgroup ^D*G of G of finite covolume. The point of view is inspired by the theory of infinite dimensional unitary representations of G; this is introduced in the last sections, making this connection explicit. The topics treated include the construction of fundamental domains, the notion of automorphic form on ^D*GG and its relationship with the classical automorphic forms on X, Poincaré series, constant terms, cusp forms, finite dimensionality of the space of automorphic forms of a given type, compactness of certain convolution operators, Eisenstein series, unitary representations of G, and the spectral decomposition of L2(^D*G/G). The main prerequisites are some results in functional analysis (reviewed, with references) and some familiarity with the elementary theory of Lie groups and Lie algebra 23 cm. Harmonic analysis, group representations, automorphic forms and invariant theory : in honor of roger E. howe par Li, Jian-shu. Publication : [S.l.] World Scientific Publishing Company 2007 . 429 p. , This volume carries the same title as that of an international conference held at the National University of Singapore, 9 11 January 2006 on the occasion of Roger E. Howe s 60th birthday. Authored by leading members of the Lie theory community, these contributions, expanded from invited lectures given at the conference, are a fitting tribute to the originality, depth and influence of Howe s mathematical work. The range and diversity of the topics will appeal to a broad audience of research mathematicians and graduate students interested in symmetry and its profound applications. 23 cm. Spectral methods of automorphic forms par Iwaniec, Henryk. Publication : [S.l.] American Mathematical Society 2002 . 220 p. , Automorphic forms are one of the central topics of analytic number theory. In fact, they sit at the confluence of analysis, algebra, geometry, and number theory. In this book, Henryk Iwaniec once again displays his penetrating insight, powerful analytic techniques, and lucid writing style. The first edition of this volume was an underground classic, both as a textbook and as a respected source for results, ideas, and references. The book's reputation sparked a growing interest in the mathematical community to bring it back into print. The AMS has answered that call with the publication of this second edition. In the book, Iwaniec treats the spectral theory of automorphic forms as the study of the space $L^2 (HGamma)$, where $H$ is the upper half-plane and $Gamma$ is a discrete subgroup of volume-preserving transformations of $H$. He combines various techniques from analytic number theory. Among the topics discussed are Eisenstein series, estimates for Fourier coefficients of automorphic forms, the theory of Kloosterman sums, the Selberg trace formula, and the theory of small eigenvalues. Henryk Iwaniec was awarded the 2002 AMS Cole Prize for his fundamental contributions to analytic number theory. Also available from the AMS by H. Iwaniec is Topics in Classical Automorphic Forms, Volume 17 in the Graduate Studies in Mathematics series. The book is designed for graduate students and researchers working in analytic number theory. 26 cm. Topics in classical automorphic forms par Iwaniec, Henryk. Publication : [S.l.] American Mathematical Society 1997 . 259 p. , The book is based on the notes from the graduate course given by the author at Rutgers University in the fall of 1994 and the spring of 1995. The main goal of the book is to acquaint the reader with various perspectives of the theory of automorphic forms. In addition to detailed and often nonstandard exposition of familiar topics of the theory, particular attention is paid to such subjects as theta-functions and representations by quadratic forms. 26 cm.
