Bioelectromagnetics current concepts the mechanisms of the biological effect of extremely high power pulses   Publication : [S.l.] Springer 2006 . 462 p. , The experimental data and theoretical models of EMF effect on various levels, starting from cell aqua bathing medium to the whole organism, including the human, applying multidisciplinary approaches. Both the beneficial use of EMF for diagnostics and therapy and the potential hazard of EMF in selected occupational and living conditions were discussed. The WHO project of harmonization of standards reflects in several papers. The emphasis is on the search for cellular and molecular mechanisms of the biological effect of EMF with different frequencies and field strengths. A novel approach to studying the non-thermal mechanisms of interactions of EMF and Extreme High Power Pulses, could serve as a valuable source of information for modern concepts in non-thermal effect of EMF. The Workshop presentations and papers covered a variety of topics such as theory of biological effect of extreme high power pulses; microwave induced pathologies (cancer, nervous and cardiovascular disorders); diagnostics and therapy with EMF; experimental evidence for biological effect of EHPP and would be helpful for designing research and policy standards, for search of mechanisms of interaction of EMF with living systems, for new advances in diagnostics and therapy. 24 cm. Computational electromagnetics for rf and microwave engineering / par Davidson,, David B. Publication : [S.l.] : Cambridge University Press, 2005 . 430 p. ; , The numerical approximation of Maxwell's equations, Computational Electromagnetics (CEM), has emerged as a crucial enabling technology for radio-frequency, microwave and wireless engineering. The three most popular 'full-wave' methods - the Finite Difference Time Domain Method, the Method of Moments, and the Finite Element Method - are introduced in this book by way of one or two-dimensional problems. Commercial or public domain codes implementing these methods are then applied to complex, real-world engineering problems, and a careful analysis of the reliability of the results obtained is performed, along with a discussion of the many pitfalls which can result in inaccurate and misleading solutions. The book will empower readers to become discerning users of CEM software, with an understanding of the underlying methods and confidence in the results obtained. It also introduces readers to the art of code development. This book is aimed at senior undergraduate/graduate students taking CEM courses and practising engineers in the industry. 25 cm. Electromagnetic field computation by network methods par Felsen,, Leopold B. Publication : [S.l.] Springer 2009 . 228 p. , In this monograph, the authors propose a systematic and rigorous treatment of electromagnetic field representations in complex structures. The architecture suggested in this book accommodates use of different numerical methods as well as alternative Green's function representations in each of the subdomains resulting from a partitioning of the overall problem. The subdomains are regions of space where electromagnetic energy is stored and are described in terms of equivalent circuit representations based either on lumped element circuits or on transmission lines. Connection networks connect the subcircuits representing the subdomains. The connection networks are lossless, don't store energy and represent the overall problem topology. This is similar to what is done in circuit theory and permits a phrasing of the solution of EM field problems in complex structures by Network-oriented methods. 24 cm. Electromagnetic field theory for engineers and physicists par Lehner, Günther. Publication : [S.l.] Springer 2010 . 659 p. , Discussed is the electromagnetic field theory and its mathematical methods. Maxwell’s equations are presented and explained. It follows a detailed discussion of electrostatics, flux, magnetostatics, quasi stationary fields and electromagnetic fields. The author presents how to apply numerical methods like finite differences, finite elements, boundary elements, image charge methods, and Monte-Carlo methods to field theory problems. He offers an outlook on fundamental issues in physics including quantum mechanics. Some of these issues are still unanswered questions. A chapter dedicated to the theory of special relativity, which allows to simplify a number of field theory problems, complements this book. A book whose usefulness is not limited to engineering students, but can be very helpful for physicists and other branches of science. 25 cm. Electroweak processes in external electromagnetic fields par Kuznetsov, Alexander. Publication : [S.l.] Springer 2003 . 120 p. , An exploration of the intersection of particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology known as astroparticle physics. Extreme electromagnetic conditions present in puslars and other stars allow for investigations of the role of quantum processes in the dynamics of astrophysical objects and in the early Universe. Based in part on the authors' own work, this book systematically describes several methods of calculation of the effects of strong electromagnetic fields in quantum processes using analytical solutions of the Dirac equation and Feynmann diagrams at both the loop and tree levels. The consideration is emphasized at the two limiting cases: the case of a very strong magnetic field, and the case of a crossed field. The presentation will appeal to graduate students of theoretical physics with prior understanding of Quantum Field Theory (QFT) and the Standard Model of Electroweak Interactions, as well as specialists in QFT wishing to know more about the problems of quantum phenomena in external electomagnetic field 25 cm.
